It is only in recent years that I have had the opportunity to make a serious attempt to revive my interest in drawing and painting, having originally studied at Glasgow School of Art. Initially trying some family portraits, I became fascinated by the endless variety of humankind and in particular by the facial expressiveness of characters both posed and glimpsed unaware in street cafés and markets.
